REGIONAL PROFILES

Choose German regions by real delivery distance, not by a map alone.

A German region is an operating decision: site, travel time, accommodation, equipment and local buyer portals belong in the same profile. The regional pages explain what changes from one area to the next.

Choose a region by delivery reality, not by a broad map.

Saxony

Saxony is a natural entry region for EU companies in construction, industrial and technical tenders. Saxony combines short border trips, longer projects around Dresden and Leipzig, and industrial supply work near Chemnitz. An EU company should therefore separate district, building type and length of stay instead of treating “Saxony” as one operating radius.

Bavaria

Bavaria offers substantial construction, manufacturing and service work, while distances quickly grow beyond the border area. Bavaria operates differently across Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Augsburg and the border districts. Distance, traffic and buyer type change the economics of the same service. A border construction company therefore needs a different profile from a service team covering the whole state.

Brandenburg

Brandenburg links the Berlin region with wide rural areas where team mobility and logistics matter. Brandenburg connects the dense Berlin belt with Prignitz, Uckermark, Lusatia and the Oder region. The same service can mean many short visits near Berlin or one long route in the countryside. The profile should state municipalities, site count and frequency.

Berlin

Berlin is a dense urban market with many buyers, complex coordination and constrained logistics. Berlin has many buyers in a compact area, but work takes place in occupied schools, offices, housing, clinics and transport sites. Parking, security, time windows and user coordination can affect productivity more than kilometres.

Thuringia

Thuringia combines industrial centres with smaller towns and can suit technical, metal and construction firms. Thuringia connects Erfurt, Jena and Gera with smaller towns and the Thuringian Forest. Technical and construction work differs in access, stay length and specialist needs. Industrial and research sites also add safety and controlled-entry requirements.

Open page

Saxony-Anhalt

Saxony-Anhalt combines industrial sites, municipalities and transport infrastructure; sector filters are useful. Magdeburg, Halle and Dessau-Roßlau have a different buyer density from Altmark or the Harz. Construction, transport, water, energy and industrial maintenance can be relevant to EU companies when routes and plant are planned realistically.

Open page

Lower Saxony

Lower Saxony spans ports, industry, agriculture and urban buyers across a large area. Lower Saxony stretches from coastal ports through Hannover and Braunschweig to rural districts. Companies should separate port security, urban maintenance and remote infrastructure. One state-wide radius otherwise combines very different delivery conditions.

North Rhine-Westphalia

Germany’s most populous state offers many buyers but also intense competition and urban complexity. Germany’s most populous state offers many buyers but also dense traffic and strong competition. Düsseldorf, Cologne, Dortmund and the Ruhr are not one operating area. A company should choose an urban cluster, industrial corridor or named district.

Hesse

Hesse connects financial, logistics and industrial centres with public projects in smaller municipalities. Hesse connects Frankfurt and the airport area with Kassel, Darmstadt and smaller municipalities. IT, technical services, logistics, buildings and infrastructure operate differently in the dense metro area than in the countryside. State whether the offer is service, supply or project work.

Rhineland-Palatinate

Rhineland-Palatinate combines cross-border trade, wine regions, industry and municipal buyers. Rhineland-Palatinate combines industrial and logistics centres on the Rhine with small towns in wine regions and hilly terrain. A job in Ludwigshafen or Mainz has a different operating model from work in the Eifel or Hunsrück. Filter by route and site count.

Open page

Saarland

Saarland is a compact industrial region where specialisation and quick response can help. Saarland is a compact, industrial region near France and Luxembourg. Specialised maintenance, metalwork, logistics and technical services can fit when response is quick. Check whether a standalone trip is viable or should be combined with Rhineland-Palatinate.

Open page

Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg offers technology and industrial work but expects precise qualification and service profiles. Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Freiburg and the industrial border areas create different qualification, service and travel demands. Technology and manufacturing work may require precise records, while a municipal service may depend on site count and frequency.

Open page

Schleswig-Holstein

Schleswig-Holstein combines coastal infrastructure, ports and smaller municipal markets. Coastal and island projects create different access and seasonal conditions from inland municipalities. Ports, coastal protection, energy, maintenance and public buildings may require planning for weather, ferries, storage and safety.

Open page

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has coastal, tourism and municipal projects spread across long distances. Rostock, Schwerin, Stralsund and Greifswald sit alongside islands and wide rural districts. Coastal protection, ports, tourism, roads and buildings may have seasonal or access constraints. Separate coast, island and inland work in the profile.

Open page

Bremen

Bremen is a compact urban and port market for logistics, maintenance, technical and construction work. Bremen combines municipal administration with port and logistics infrastructure. Maintenance, technical, construction and transport work may be nearby but still faces safety regimes, limited space and coordination with continuous operations.

Open page

Hamburg

Hamburg has a large public market linked to the port, transport and urban infrastructure. Hamburg has a large public and public-sector market around the port, transport, water, buildings and city services. A foreign supplier must plan for operational security, controlled access, time windows and multi-company coordination.
